Beekeepers Course
Welcome to the 2026 PEIBA “Introduction to Beekeeping” course
We are now accepting registrations for our upcoming 2026 “Introduction to Beekeeping” course.
It will consist of the following
- A two day in person weekend session on April 11th and April 12th
- 9am to 3pm
- Milton Hall Community Centre
You will learn various beekeeping topics such as:
- woodenware, hive parts and tools
- hive inspections
- making splits and swarm control
- spring management
- integrated pest management and diseases / control
- queens and intro to queen rearing
- honey extraction
- pollination opportunities
- commercial vs hobby beekeeping
- preparing for winter
This course is perfect for the new beekeeper thinking about getting into beekeeping as a hobby. Also, for those who are in their first to second year of beekeeping who would like to get a better understanding of beekeeping or as a refresher.
