Beekeepers Course

Welcome to the 2026 PEIBA “Introduction to Beekeeping” course

We are now accepting registrations for our upcoming 2026 “Introduction to Beekeeping” course.

It will consist of the following

  • A two day in person weekend session on April 11th and April 12th
  • 9am to 3pm
  • Milton Hall Community Centre

You will learn various beekeeping topics such as:

  1. woodenware, hive parts and tools
  2. hive inspections
  3. making splits and swarm control
  4. spring management
  5. integrated pest management and diseases / control
  6. queens and intro to queen rearing
  7. honey extraction
  8. pollination opportunities
  9. commercial vs hobby beekeeping
  10. preparing for winter

This course is perfect for the new beekeeper thinking about getting into beekeeping as a hobby.  Also, for those who are in their first to second year of beekeeping who would like to get a better understanding of beekeeping or as a refresher.

Cost: $200
